EOS Boosts Transaction Speed
EOS has upgraded itself into the new year with a higher transaction speed. The latest version EOSIO V1.6.0 has brought about a 35 per cent boost. In an official blog, the company said it will improve the efficiency of the peer-to-peer networking layer besides real-time transactions to ultimately boost the overall speed. “Our own internal benchmark tests show upwards of a 35% increase in likely transaction speed when using token-transfers-per-second as our base case.”
The company stated that they had carried out the tests on a private network. The EOSIO Contract Development Toolkit (EOSIO.CDT) aims to provide efficient and streamlined development on EOSIO.
In a statement in July 2018, EOS was highlighted to have broken records of 3000 transactions in one second. It surpassed Bitcoin, Ethereum and Ripple.
Most cryptocurrencies have been competing with VISA and Paypal transaction speed. Some have even boasted of being faster than the mainstream payment methods. Now, cryptocurrencies are racing with each other to be the ‘bullet’. In 2018, howmuch.net said VISA continues to reign with the fastest transaction speed. It said that cryptocurrencies and blockchain technology was still in its early stage. And VISA has grown since 1958 with innovations time and again.
