Ripple teams up With Universities

Ripple teams up With Universities for Its Blockchain Initiative Project

On February 7th, 2019 Ripple has announced its new group of partners those will be joining together for its UBRI project. The worldwide initiative to quicken academic research was launched in June last year. Currently, it is a team of 29 partners to stimulate innovation and technology development in the field of the blockchain, digital payments, and cryptocurrency. UBRI has continuously encouraged the increasing level of interest among the students and faculty of various top-level universities across the globe.

The new list of associates includes some of the leading universities and colleges of the world offering a varied range of academic courses. The list of partners is as under:
• University of Carnegie Mellon
• University of Cornell
• University of Duke
• University of Georgetown
• Institute of Fintech Research, Tsinghua University
• University of Kansas
• University of Michigan
• Morgan State University
• Singapore National University
• Northeastern University
• University of Sao Paulo

The resources of UBRI will be uniquely utilized by its partners to develop course curriculum, hosting conference, awarding scholarships, etc. The idea behind is to prepare next generation engineers, business leaders and other experts to put this technology into practice. In addition to this, the program will spread positive awareness about the blockchain into society and various industries as well.

Last year December ripple had announced some grants for the students and the schools analyzing in the field as mentioned above. The initiative taken up by ripple will educate a broader part of the market on how blockchain will affect the world beyond the digital currencies.

The UBRI companions will be hosting conferences, and they will launch new research projects on the topics that include cyber securities, blockchain, cryptography, and regulations.

UBRI will be expanding its support on the curriculum, teaching and many other fields at the University of Duke and Georgetown. Ripple will provide funds to Sao Paulo University for innovation in the field of blockchain technology.

Laboratories for blockchain research and innovation is been set up by many universities across the globe. Diploma and certificate program for the blockchain technology has also been started along with the University of MIT and IT University of Copenhagen.

UBRI was started in with 17 partner universities across the world. They have slowly added the partners to help study and research of the transformational technology to the best minds of the world who are keen to know more about it.
